Storm Water Affected Basement in Camp Hill, PA
This basement in Camp Hill, PA wound up with around an inch of groundwater after heavy storms and a high water table forced it through the foundation. It was an older home, without a sump pump, and unfortunately no where for the water to escape to - until SERVPRO of North East Chester County arrived! We pumped out standing water, extracted water from the carpet, then removed and disposed of the carpet and pad. Luckily, we were able to salvage the walls, and after a few days with our drying equipment working hard, the basement was all dried out and ready for some new carpet! Of course, we cleaned and sanitized the surface areas to make them clean and safe, and to prevent any microbial growth fed by particulates brought in by the groundwater passing through the building materials.
