Storm Water Stinks!

When heavy storm rains fall, as they did here in Phoenixville, homeowners may experience storm water intrusion into basements and other areas of the home that may have never experienced such an occurrence in years or even decades.  There are several contributing factors that may force storm water into unwelcome areas - such as ground saturation and an unusually high water table - but the reality is that water will find a way to get where it wants to go.  This homeowner not only discovered a wet floor, but also a distinct odor that came with the intruding storm water.  As a last ditch effort, he even poured bleach on the floor to try to knock out the stink!  He was glad afterwards that he called SERVPRO of North East Chester County, to properly dry, clean, and sanitize his home.
